Our Story
In December of 2009, Dr. Nathan Martin added the Ideal Protein protocol to his Country Chiropractic Clinic to help one specific client who needed help with their weight loss. The traditional “eat healthy and exercise” was not enough, she needed a structured plan. She quickly lost 100 pounds and just as quickly, other patients started to ask about the protocol. Dr. Nathan & Amy Martin and Dr. Nick were trained in the Ideal Protein weight loss protocol and started offering coaching and the protocol to clinic patients, friends, and family.
In 2013, Pauline Johnson, sister to Dr. Nick and Dr. Nathan, took over coaching and management. After successfully achieving her ideal weight after a long 7 year journey of infertility, hormone replacements and many failed IVF attempts, her body was “not her own.” The protocol worked!! It worked for her, her husband, Brett and numerous other friends amazingly!
Pauline grew up eating a healthy diet with little to no processed food. Like some of her clients, “boxed protein foods” was a concern for her when she first started coaching. It was just a matter of time before she understood the importance and value of the protein supplements for a set period to get the desired results in the body. She continues, after so many years, to be astounded at the outcomes she sees month after month, not only on the scale but overall health.
In 2016, Pauline changed from manager to owner. In 2018, the company became what it is known as today, Aspire Wellness with standalone locations in Burlington and Anacortes, offering services for the whole body. Pauline is involved in day-to-day operations and is extremely thankful for her amazing team, supportive family, and wonderful clients who continue to entrust their own journeys to Aspire. Pauline believes that although weight loss can be an uncomfortable topic to discuss, it is worthwhile and a mounting concern in our society today. It is a radical way to reduce health risks, improve energy, sleep, focus and reduce medications. She is continually grateful to have a protocol that works and a place for people to come for lifelong education, support, and encouragement.
