She lost 21.2#, our August Client of the Month!
Meet Elisha, our August 2023 Client of the Month!
Coach: What brought you to need the help of Aspire Wellness?
Elisha: I gained weight after having breast cancer when I started taking Tamoxifen, an estrogen hormone blocker. I continued to gain weight and quickly, going from 190 to 235 at my heaviest, which was equivalent to my weight at the birth of my first child.
Coach: What if any hesitations did you have before you came in? Was there anything you were worried about?
Elisha: My oncologist told me to focus on not gaining more weight, not so much losing weight, but I wasn’t satisfied with that. I had tried many other diets on my own from Weight Watchers to fasting cycles. I had used Ideal Protein in the past but was unsure if it would work because of the Tamoxifen.
Coach: What was it like to work with your coach?
Elisha: Working with my coach has been amazing! They are supportive and understanding of the struggles I face everyday and give me great advice and keep me accountable.
Coach: Would you recommend Aspire Wellness to others? Why?
Elisha: I would recommend Aspire Wellness to everyone. Everyone there is friendly and really rooting for us all to reach our goals!
Coach: Did you experience improved activities in daily life?
Elisha: Yes! The pain that runs down my leg has gotten so much better since losing weight!
Coach: Have you added things into your life now you wouldn’t have prior to weight loss?
Elisha: Yes, I have finally found a way to add in water. I discovered that I love flavored sparking water that has no sugar.
Coach: Has your energy increased, or mood improved?
Elisha: My energy has increased, and I sleep better. I wake up ready to go!
Coach: Have your sugar/salty/junk food cravings eliminated or reduced?
Elisha: That after meal sugar craving has mostly been eliminated but does happen from time to time.
Coach: Has your self-image changed or improved (how)?
Elisha: I feel proud of myself in the mornings when I weigh myself for sticking with it even when it’s hard.
Coach: Are you able to do anything now that you couldn’t do prior to Aspire Wellness?
Elisha: Not yet.
Coach: Do you wear a smaller size of clothing now?
Elisha: Yes! I’ve gone down at least 2 pant sizes and was able to bring out my bin of stored clothes from the garage!
Other comments:
Life is tough and challenges come up, but the coaches are the people that really make a difference and help keep me on track and focused on my goal. If it wasn’t for them, I am not sure I’d be as successful as I have been. I am beyond grateful for their compassion when I fall short as it gives me the courage to continue when I haven’t done as well as I would have liked to.
