Does it work?

Hmm… that is a loaded question, right? 

 

When it comes to weight loss here at Aspire, I would say, without question… YES!  Yes, our weight loss protocol works!  You will achieve your weight loss goal and you might even love the process!  And, you’ll likely feel amazing and not deprived.  Every person that has tried it and followed it has predictably, measurably, repeatedly lost weight.  It is medical science and it is the physiology for the body to use its fat as energy while preserving our muscle mass.  The weight loss portion works!   If you are looking to lose weight, we have the plan that not only works, but is safe, effective, and sets your body up for long term stabilization when you follow it.  

 

Sounds great, right?  A plan that always works, simple physiology of the body, something you can count on…. oh my, I wish it were that simple.  Let me tell you the two things that stand in your way… 

 

  1. “I got this.” – Most of us have a little bit of “this” in us, I know I am no exception.  I have tried every which way to add a little of this or that or eat this and not eat that in our protocol.  How about a little cream in my coffee, just 25 calories and I will skip my Ideal Protein shake.  It’s an even trade and I may have just saved myself some calories.  NOPE!  How about some cheese on my hamburger patty and I will do an unrestricted packet instead of restricted for my snack.  NOPE!  Not one of them has worked!  The results are always the same – little to no weight loss, frustration, and often times starting the cycle of cravings once again.  
  2. “Yay, I am done!” – Again, can I raise my hand?  We get to our ideal weight, feel amazing, yet stop using all the wonderful principles we learned along the way to lose weight and keep it off.  We slowly allow back in the behaviors and food choices that create a weight gain situation.  Whoever said it takes 21, 30 or 90 days to create a habit is, hmm….CRAZY!! ????  When we are losing weight, we drink a ton of water, plan our meals, make a list when shopping, journal, keep track of our successes, and check in with our coach to stay accountable.  Then suddenly, out of nowhere, when we have achieved our desired weight loss…. SURPRISE….now I am too busy for that.  The reality is that I was just as busy before as I am now.  Now it simply is not as important, at least not yet.   

When these natural human responses kick into gear, we must ask ourselves, did the plan fail?  No – and neither did I or you, at least not yet.  What separates success and failure always comes down to what we do next.  Change is hard!!  Staying committed to 15-minute coaching appointments and daily journaling when we feel AMAZING is hard!  Choosing to say no to eating “what I want” at every special occasion once I’ve achieved my ideal weight is hard!  Getting up early morning after morning to go to the gym to “start over” is hard!  Right?!?   

 

It works, it does!  No matter if we offer free lifetime coaching to help you keep it off or if it is simple physiology or even the meals are delicious… it will always come down to you!  Are you ready?  Do you want to lose weight, or do you want to lose weight and learn to keep it off?
